Genders: Feminine, masculine & neuter:
You will be mostly right in guessing genders using these rules, although as we know in language every rule has exceptions. Indefinite articles or a/an as in a man, an aeroplane, etc.: No actual equivalent of 'a' and 'an' --> One option is to use the word 'one' as in one man, one aeroplane:

Write the meaning in English (which you will no doubt be able to guess if you read the word out loud) and write M, F or N, respectively for Masculine, Feminine or Neuter gender after the word. 1.
